Active Member
· Any commercial or industrial establishment duly registered with the Department of Trade and Industry and / or the Securities Exchange Commission, located in the Philippines and wholly or partially owned by Indian Citizen or individuals of Indian descent and / or origin. An authorized representative of such juridical entity shall be considered as a active member.
· Any Indian citizen or individual of Indian descent and / or origin legally admitted into the Philippines as a resident, residing in the Philippines and having a gainful profession, engage in business or retired from business or a profession.
. All qualified present active members shall automatically be considered as active members.
Associate Members
· Any commercial or industrial establishment duly registered with the Department of Trade and Industry and / or the Securities and Exchange Commission, located outside the areas of Metropolitan Manila. Wholly or partially owned by Indian citizens or Individuals of Indian descent and / or origin. An authorized representative of such juridical entity may be considered as an associate member.
· Any Indian citizen or individual of indian descent and / or original admitted into the Philippines as a resident, residing outside Metropolitan manila, and having a gainful profession, engaged in business or retired from business or a profession.
· Current associate members and new applicants for associate membership shall be encouraged to join a Chapter in their respective areas of business or residence or from a Chapter with other qualified individuals or business entities, if none is yet established.
· Any associate member may choose to become an active member by paying the corresponding dues thereof and must have been a member in good standing for at least one (1) year.
Chapter Members
1. Chapters shall be formed in the provinces which shall then become a Chapter Member of the Federation.
2. Each Chapter shall be composed of the following:
a. Any commercial or industrial establishment duly registered with the Department of Trade and Industry or the Securities Exchange Commission, wholly or partially owned by Indian citizens or individuals of Indian descent and/or origin, located anywhere in the Philippines outside the areas of Metropolitan Manila.
b. Any Indian citizen or individual of Indian descent and/or origin who is gainfully engaged in business or profession or retired and legally admitted into the Philippines and residing outside the areas of Metropolitan Manila.
c. Any Indian citizen or individual of Indian descent and/or origin who is gainfully employed or holder of a valid visa and legally admitted in the Philippines.
d. Any individual who is gainfully engaged in business or profession whose business or residence is outside the areas of Metropolitan Manila provided that members who are not of Indian descent and/or origin constitute not more than twenty percent (20%) of the total membership of the Chapter.
3. The President or authorized representative of such juridical entity may be considered as the Chapter member of the Federation and represent the Chapter as such.
4. The president or authorized representative of the Chapter shall be deemed as its voting delegate in the Federation.
5. All associate members of the main Federation body shall be encouraged to form or join a Chapter in the province /region of their place of business or residence.
6. A minimum of five (5) members shall be required to organize and form a chapter that will have a geographical boundary to be proposed by the Federation in consultation with the individual members of the proposed chapters.
7. Every chapter regardless of the number of its members shall be entitles to one (1) voting delegate/representative who shall have all the rights to act for and in behalf of the Chapter duly represented in the Federation.
8. All chapters are required to submit minutes of all meetings of their Board of Directors to the Federation.
9. A Regional Council composed of Federation Chapters will be organized for each region of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The Regional Council will be composed of the President/ Heads or authorized representatives of each Chapter and will have one vote for each Chapter in the Regional Council.
10. Each duly constituted Chapter shall be considered a member of the Federation only after it has complied with all the requirements set by the Federation and mountains to be a member in good standing.
11. While each Chapter may establish and impose its own rules to govern their organization, they shall adhere to the same principles of the Federation; follow the minimum requirements as may be established by the Federation in their formation and operation; and shall support the Federation in its activities.
12. A chapter is allowed the append the name of the Federation and use the following as format for the registration of its name – Federation and use the following as format for the registration of its name – Federation of Indian Federation of Commerce, (Name of Chapter) Chapter, Inc.
13. An individual member of a Chapter may change his status and become an active or affiliate member of the Federation if he so desires by fulfilling all requirements for membership, paying the corresponding dues thereof, and must have been a member in good standing for at least one (1) year in the Chapter to which he is affiliated.
14. An existing business organization that fulfills the requirements for Chapter membership may become a Chapter Member.
Affiliate Member
The following may acquire Affiliate membership upon fulfillment of and compliance of requirements established:
1. Trade or Association Affiliate
Any local or international business entity, or any local, or foreign professional organization that supports the principles and activities of the Federation;
2. Individual Affiliate
Any individual, local or foreign, practicing a profession and/or holding an executive or diplomatic post, or any individual who shares in the ideals and general purposes or the Federation.
